From one pupil in a boys' quarter in 1997 to a full nursery and primary school in Akobo, Ibadan.
Our story
Little drops of water make a mighty ocean
An old saying goes, “Little is much when God is in it.” Every journey starts with a single step, and little drops of water make a mighty ocean. So it has been for B and B School.
The school was not started as a business idea but as a vision. Its growth has been steady and remarkable, and it has taken part in many academic and extra-curricular activities in Lagelu Local Government, Oyo State.
Our teachers are dedicated and hardworking, and our pupils are known for being both academically and morally sound. The management and board of trustees have supported the school with care and diligence, and parents' encouragement and honest feedback have helped it grow.
How we grew
- 1997A school of oneB and B School opened on 1 May 1997 in a boys' quarter. For its first three months it had a single pupil.
- NextA rented homeAs more families joined, the school moved from the boys' quarter into a rented apartment.
- TodayOur permanent siteThe school moved to its permanent site in Basorun Estate, Akobo, with classrooms from Creche to Grade 6, a library, a laboratory and a computer room.
1997 – 2027
30 years of little drops making a mighty ocean
On 1 May 1997, B and B School opened its doors to a single pupil. Thirty years on, we are celebrating three decades of teaching, caring for and cheering on the children of Akobo, and every family who has been part of the journey.
